At the end of the Nineteenth Century, Claude Monet moved into The Savoy to paint the hotel's spectacular views of the River Thames. Monet painted over seventy works of art while at The Savoy; these are now some of the artist's most well known masterpieces.
 
In the spirit of this tradition, The Savoy, now a Fairmont Hotel, has instituted an artist-in-residence programme whereby prominent contemporary artists stay at The Savoy and create works of art for the Savoy Art Collection. Peter Brown, a contemporary Impressionist painter, is The Savoy's first artist-in-residence and his prints are now part of the collection.
 
The Savoy Art Collection is currently on exhibition at the hotel and limited edition prints from the collection are available to you at the hotel and online at www.savoyartcollection.com.
