BusinessWeek magazine’s Customer Service Champs Survey Fairmont was ranked 3rd on listing of the top 50 providers of customer service excellence, the top score for the luxury hotel industry. The listing was created using data from J.D. Power & Associates’ 2007 database and a supplementary survey of BusinessWeek readers.
Canada's Top 100 Employers – 2008 (as featured in Maclean’s Magazine) Fairmont was the only hotel company included in the 2008 rankings of Canada’s top employers, the brand’s 6th consecutive appearance on the list.

Celebrated Living – Reader’s Choice Platinum List Readers ranked Fairmont properties high in several categories, most notably honouring The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise as the top resort in Canada, and the Willow Stream Spa at The Fairmont Banff Springs as the number one choice in International Spas. Fairmont-managed Mount Kenya Safari Club was chosen as one of the Top 5 hotels in Africa, and The Fairmont Banff Springs and The Fairmont Chateau Whistler were listed among the Top 20 golf courses worldwide.
Strategy Magazine – Cause & Action Award Fairmont’s Green Partnership Program was awarded Top Eco-Hospitality Program for the second consecutive year, with particular emphasis on our latest efforts to address climate change in partnership with WWF.
IMEX Green Supplier Award Fairmont Hotels & Resorts was honoured with the inaugural Green Supplier award, developed by IMEX and the Green Meeting Industry Council, which recognizes environmental excellence and innovation within the meetings industry.
Advertising Age (Ad Age) Award – Top Eco Brand Fairmont Hotels & Resorts was recognized as a Top Eco-Brand at the annual Ad Age Green conference, which honors companies making measurable changes in an effort to better the environment. The award focused particularly on marketing efforts to integrate environmental sustainability into a key brand attribute.
Hotelier Magazine- Green Leadership Award Fairmont Hotels & Resorts was honoured with Hotelier magazine’s inaugural Green Leadership Award in recognition of the brand's longstanding commitment to environmental initiatives.
CNBC European Business - Top 100 Low-Carbon Pioneers - 2008 Fairmont placed 29th on a list of the world’s top 100 businesses that are taking groundbreaking steps to reduce their carbon footprint. Fairmont was the only hotel group included on the list.
Golf Magazine – Premier Resorts 2008 Readers rated the top 75 golf resorts in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, recognizing The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club, The Fairmont Chateau Whistler and The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess and The Fairmont Banff Springs were also ranked among the best.
Expedia – Insiders’ Select Hotels List Several Fairmont properties, including Fairmont Hoetl Vier Jahrezeiten, Fairmont Mayakoba and The Fairmont Olympic Hotel, were recognized on the “Insiders’ Select Hotels” list. Hotels on this list represent the top 1% on the Expedia network sites, based on guest feedback, overall value, and input from Expedia experts.

Capital Magazine (Germany) – Germany’s Best City Hotel Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg was chosen as Germany's best city hotel by Capital financial magazine, scoring 98.8 points out of a possible 100.
