Condé Nast Traveler – Gold List
Sixteen Fairmont properties were recognized, including Quebec’s Fairmont Tremblant for “Best by Activities” and Fairmont Le Montreux Palace in Switzerland for “Best by Design”.

Condé Nast Traveler – Reader’s Choice Awards
Twenty Fairmont hotels were chosen by readers in this annual poll, which names the hotels, resorts, cruise lines, islands and cities around the world that exceed expectations and are considered best in class. Standouts included The Fairmont Southampton, The Fairmont Dubai and The Fairmont Empress.

Condé Nast Traveler -Top 100 Golf Resorts
Seven Fairmont golf resorts were featured, including The Fairmont Banff Springs, Canada’s highest-ranking golf resort.

Condé Nast Traveler -Top 50 Ski Hotels
Readers chose seven Fairmont properties as among the best ski hotels in North America, the best showing of any hotel brand worldwide. Fairmont Manoir Richelieu and Fairmont’s three Rocky Mountain hotels were among those making the cut.

Condé Nast Traveler – Hot List
The Plaza was recognized on the annual “Hot List” – a guide to the newest, hottest hotels, restaurants, spas and nightclubs opened internationally in the past year.

Condé Nast Traveler – World Saver Awards
Fairmont received an honorable mention in the magazine’s World Saver Awards issue. Fairmont’s environmental initiatives, including brand wide recycling and conservation programs, were praised.

Travel + Leisure – 500 World’s Best Hotels
Travelers have spoken, and chosen 16 Fairmont Hotels & Resorts for the 500 World’s Best listing, including Fairmont Singapore and Fairmont The Norfolk, Nairobi.

Travel + Leisure Golf- World’s Best Golf Resorts
Fairmont properties dominated the list of Canada’s most respected courses, with The Fairmont Banff Springs, The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and The Fairmont Chateau Whistler scoring high with readers.

BusinessWeek magazine’s Customer Service Champs Survey
Fairmont was ranked third on listing of the top 50 providers of customer service excellence, the top score for the luxury hotel industry. The listing was created using data from J.D. Power & Associates’ 2007 database and a supplementary survey of BusinessWeek readers.

Canada’s Top 100 Employers – 2009 (as featured in Maclean’s Magazine)
Fairmont was recognized for the seventh consecutive year as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, the only hotel brand on the list.

Professional Convention Management Association – Environmental Leadership Award
The PCMA recognized Fairmont with its 2008 Environmental Leadership Award. This is the first year PCMA has handed out the award, which honors progressive greening efforts in the meetings industry.

Strategy Magazine – Cause & Action Award
Fairmont’s Green Partnership Program was awarded Top Eco-Hospitality Program for the second consecutive year, with particular emphasis on our latest efforts to address climate change in partnership with WWF.

IMEX - Green Supplier Award
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts was honoured with the inaugural Green Supplier award, developed by IMEX and the Green Meeting Industry Council, which recognizes environmental excellence and innovation within the meetings industry.

Advertising Age (Ad Age) Award – Top Eco Brand
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts was recognized as a Top Eco-Brand at the annual Ad Age Green conference, which honors companies making measurable changes in an effort to better the environment. The award focused particularly on marketing efforts to integrate environmental sustainability into a key brand attribute.

Hotelier Magazine- Green Leadership Award
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts was honoured with Hotelier magazine’s inaugural Green Leadership Award in recognition of the brand's longstanding commitment to environmental initiatives.

CNBC European Business - Top 100 Low-Carbon Pioneers
Fairmont placed 29th on a list of the world’s top 100 businesses that are taking groundbreaking steps to reduce their carbon footprint. Fairmont was the only hotel group included on the list.

enRoute –Travel Report Reader’s Survey
Readers of Air Canada’s in-flight magazine overwhelmingly chose Fairmont Hotels & Resorts as their favourite hotel chain, scoring twice as high as the nearest competitor.

Golf Magazine – Premier Resorts
Readers rated the top 75 golf resorts in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, recognizing The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club, The Fairmont Chateau Whistler, The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess and The Fairmont Banff Springs.

Expedia – Insiders’ Select Hotels List
Several Fairmont properties, including Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahrezeiten, Fairmont Mayakoba and The Fairmont Olympic Hotel, Seattle were recognized on the “Insiders’ Select Hotels” list. Hotels on this list represent the top 1% on the Expedia network sites, based on guest feedback, overall value, and input from Expedia experts.

Hospitality Technology – Hotel Visionary Award
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts received the annual Hospitality Technology award for “Exceeding Guest Expectations.” The winner of this award is judged on a basis of innovation, thought leadership, and forward-thinking vision.

Celebrated Living – Reader’s Choice Platinum List
Readers ranked Fairmont properties high in several categories, most notably honouring The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise as the top resort in Canada, and the Willow Stream Spa at The Fairmont Banff Springs as the number one choice in International Spas. Fairmont-managed Mount Kenya Safari Club was chosen as one of the top five hotels in Africa.

Travel Weekly Magellan Awards
The Fairmont Dallas and The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club were selected as 2008 Silver Magellan Award Winners. The Fairmont Dallas’ Fairmont Gold was honoured in the Penthouse Design category, while The Fairmont Turnberry Isle was honoured for best overall luxury hotel/resort.

Capital Magazine (Germany) – Germany’s Best City Hotel
Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg was chosen as Germany's best city hotel by Capital financial magazine, scoring 98.8 points out of a possible 100.

Hospitality Asia Magazine’s Platinum Awards (HAPA)
Fairmont Singapore was recognized with a number of HAPA awards, honouring the best in hospitality for Southeast Asia, including first place in the Best Business Hotel/MICE ranking. The hotel also made the top ten in a number of categories, including Hotel of the Year and General Manager (Ian Wilson).

Condé Nast Traveler - 20th Annual Readers’ Choice Award Top 100
18 Fairmont properties recognized, including The Fairmont Olympic, Seattle, placing 77th, and Fairmont Le Montreux Palace placing 98th in the Top 100 “Best of the Best” category.

Condé Nast Traveler UK –Reader’s Poll
The Fairmont Chateau Whistler was included in reader’s top choices for North American & Caribbean hotels, and London’s Savoy was ranked in 2nd place in the category of UK business hotels.

Travel + Leisure- 500 World’s Best Hotels
Travelers have spoken, and chosen 13 Fairmont Hotels & Resorts for the 500 World’s Best listing, including the following top hotels in their respective cities: Fairmont Le Château Frontenac (Quebec City), The Fairmont Waterfront (Vancouver) and Fairmont Château Laurier (Ottawa).

Travel + Leisure- World’s Best Business Hotels
Fairmont was noted as a favourite for business travel, with Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, The Fairmont Olympic Hotel, Seattle and The Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel being recognized.

Golf Digest- Best Places to Play
The Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda was recognized with a 4-Star rating.

Expedia Insider Select™- World’s Best Hotels
The inaugural Expedia® Insiders' Select™ list of the world's best hotels recognized 17 Fairmont properties. The list was formulated using feedback from Expedia.com traveller reviews and also travel industry insiders.

Consumer Reports- Best Hotels
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts ranked high for “Stellar Service”, placing second overall in this category, based on feedback from over 35,000 readers of the magazine.

Strategy Magazine- Cause + Action Awards
The magazine awards honor Corporate Social Responsibility brand programs that are “changing minds”. Fairmont was chosen as having the Top Eco Hospitality Program.

Meetings & Incentive Travel 2007 Readers’ Choice Awards
