Tucked into the woodlands, Fairmont Kenauk at Le Chateau Montebello is a pure nature retreat. For guests to fully experience the wilderness, we offer secluded first-class chalets, with one to six bedrooms. Each private cabin comes equipped with propane lights, stove, furnace and hot water tank.  All cabins are off the electrical grid so solar panels power the high efficiency refrigerator and water pump.  Ten cabins have a spacious screened porch. Each cabin also has its own unique location attributes like nearby waterfalls or superb views. All have been recently renovated and accorded four-star chalet ratings.  While there is no cellular phone coverage at Fairmont Kenauk and the only blackberries grow on bushes, most cabins have some communication with the entrance gate using 2 way radios and there is a pay phone at the Whitefish Lake Picnic site.
