Assiniboine Park

Costume Museum of Canada
The Costume Museum of Canada features a 35,000-piece collection of clothing, accessories and textile artifacts that spans 400 years. Browse the gift shop and stay for a cup of tea in the Prairie Crocus Tea Room.

Forks National Historic Site
With an extensive array of specialty food vendors, restaurants and one-of-a-kind shopping kiosks, The Forks is Winnipeg's favorite public gathering place for shopping, dining, community festivals, or sitting outside and enjoying nature.

Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site of Canada
Original and intact, the stone fort has been meticulously restored to its 1850's appearance as a supply center of the Hudson's Bay Company.  Costumed staff recreate the spirit of the fur trade era.  Summer Special events include the Red River Rendezvous.

Royal Canadian Mint
The Royal Canadian Mint offers a fascinating guided tour overlooking the manufacturing facility that explains the precise art of coin making.

Manitoba Opera

Manitoba Planetarium
One of only six in the country, the Manitoba Planetarium introduces the wonders of the universe with its state-of-the-art multimedia shows on the cosmos.  The heart of the Planetarium is the the Zeiss Model Vs Star Projector, which can recreate an amazingly realistic night sky containing more than 9,000 stars and the Milky Way.  A visit will entertain and amaze children and adults alike.
