Babysitting Services
Our professional team of Babysitters is highly qualified and trained. They are ready to take care of your kids while you are out.
Please reserve this service directly at the Discovery Club and Adventure Camp, between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. A 12-hour notice is required.
Fees:
$18 per hour for up to two kids.
$22 per hour for three kids
Minimum age: 6 months old
Please note that if you require this service after 11:00 p.m., we will charge an additional hour to cover for the babysitter's transportation.
A minimum of two hours will be charged per service. If you cancel the service within three hours prior to the scheduled time, a cancellation fee of two hours applies.
Beach
Take your bike, ride our shuttle (golf carts) or take a Lancha (covered electric boat) to the magnificent sapphire blue waters and white powdered sandy beach of the Riviera Maya.
Children's Activities
Discovery Club
Fairmont Mayakoba has created an extraordinary adventure at the Discovery Club. Children from 4 to 12 years old are welcome to this magical land.
Zamna, an Alux (mayan character) invites the little ones to come and play at his house, found in the enchanted mayan forest located inside the Discovery Club.
This fun place offers dynamic, cultural, educational and entertainment activities suited for the interests, hobbies and preferences of our young visitors. Children are encouraged to put in practice their imagination creating unique handicraft items that they can bring home as a souvenir.
Other activities vary in scope from table games designed for the littlest campers -who will have a wonderful time memorizing images and numbers- to building a sand castle on the beach or exploring the "Mayan World" in the jungle. Where else can children go and create their own Penacho (head dress), spend the day looking for the "wishing stone", play a rousing game of ancient Maya Ball, or experience glorious Mexican days making colorful paper banners, Piñatas or Origami, that at the Adventure Camp!

Movie nights daily from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Adventure Camp
The most exciting and fun teen camp! Here teens will find the latest in videogames, board games, ping-pong tables, air jockey and a pool table.
Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m.

Please note: Access to the Discovery Club and Adventure Camps is offered complimentary for up to three hours per day per child/ teen. If you wish an extended service (more than three hours a day) there us a charge of USD$29 per day per child/ teen (we do not offer a per hour charge for the additional service).

Playa del Carmen Beach
The beach in Playa del Carmen is a good place to meet people, especially around the Blue Parrot Hotel or Captain Tutix nightclub.
If the waves are high do not go out unless you are a strong swimmer because the undertow can surprise you. This advice seems like common sense, but the many visitors had to be rescued. The Beach at the resort is much safer.
Pools
The Fairmont Mayakoba features five pools:
- The Island Pool (main pool): 10,000 sq. ft. free-form pool featuring Aqua Bar, a refreshing swim-up bar
- Children's pool, boasting a fantastic waterslide and children's wading pool adjoining the Island Pool, next to the Discovery Camp
- Infinity edge pool- An adult-only pool overlooking the lagoon. Located near La Laguna Restaurant on the Island
- The Beach Front Pool- Our second infinity edge pool, overlooking the ocean, located near Las Brisas Restaurant
- The Bambú Pool, located near the Bambú building, between the Main Lobby and the Island, for both adults and children
Tennis
Our guests have access to two tennis courts located in the Mayakoba development. Reservations are recommended. A fee may apply depending on season and availability. Please ask for more information at the Concierge desk or by email mayakoba@fairmont.com

Xcaret Eco-Park
Xcaret is an eco-park for all ages. You can spend the entire day (and evening) there, snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming with the dolphins, watching performances and Mayan ballgames, visiting the zoo, aquarium, butterfly pavilion, and more.
Location : 25 minutes from the resort.
