Our Concierge Desk will be more than happy to make your car rental arrangements. If you plan to drive a car yourself, a Barbados driving permit is required. Permits can be obtained from car hire companies, the Ministry of Transport (8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Monday to Friday), the airport (8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. every day) or police stations in Hastings, Worthing and Holetown. There is a registration fee of BBD $10.00 and a valid national licence or an International Driving Permit is also required. Remember, Barbados drives on the left side of the road.
Taxis do not have meters, but fares are regulated by the Government. Listings are available from the Tourist Office. Please ask the price before travelling.
