The excitement of the Olympic Torch Relay for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games begins October 22, 2009 in  Greece. Upon illumination, the flame will embark on a trans-Atlantic journey accompanied by host country Canada representation, with a destination to BC’s capital city, Victoria on October 30, 2009. After arrival, the flame will be accompanied by more than 12,000 torch-bearers, travelling by land, air and sea throughout Canada for more than 105 days, traveling over 45,000 kilometers before arriving in Vancouver on February 12, 2010.
