120th Birthday Celebrations The Fairmont Algonquin will celebrate its 120th birthday in 2009. Throughout the year, festivities will pay homage to this iconic seaside resort's historic presence in the community of St. Andrews by-the-Sea.
New Year Gala In 1889 the Fairmont Algonquin opened its Grand doors to its first guests and on New Years Eve Ryan Dunne and his Culinary Team will be celebrating 120 years for impeccable service and outstanding dining. Keeping true to the rich culinary history of the Algonquin, it’s greatest recipes will be featured in a beautifully updated traditional 8 course tasting menu. Chef Dunne has dusted off the best of the tried, tested and true recipes from the past 120 years and adds a modern twist to each generation of dishes.
