Waldhaus Restaurant

The Waldhaus is The Fairmont Banff Springs' 'House in the Forest'. The Bavarian Cottage-style building was established in 1927 which was once used as the Banff Springs Clubhouse and is set on the edge of the Golf Course and the Spray River.

Upstairs you will find an atmosphere reminiscent of an old hunting cottage with dark, rich wood paneling, a large fireplace and a beautiful wine cabinet which houses an excellent wine selection.

The menu consists of authentic German and Swiss dishes such as venison baden-baden, mountain smoked meat platter, mache & watercress salad, roasted beet salad, goulash soup, yellow split pea soup, swiss cheese fondue, truffle fondue, beef fondue, wiener schnitzel, pan seared duck breast, beer braised lamb shank, pan fried rainbow trout filets, porcini mushroom ravioli, chocolate fondue, apple cinnamon cheesecake, mini black forest cake and warm apple strudel.

The Waldhaus is not wheelchair accessible
