NAKISKA
Nakiska was the spectacular venue of the 1988 Winter Olympics. Specifically designed to host the Olympic alpine events, the result was the creation of a ski area carefully designed to match the needs of today's skier. Nakiska is equipped with one of the most expensive and sophisticated snowmaking systems in the world, ensuring the highest quality of snow coverage on the mountain from early December through mid-April

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
Glide along heavenly cross-country ski paths in our mountain wilderness. You'll discover several trails located within walking distance from The Fairmont Banff Springs, including the popular Spray Loop. Nearby Trails in Banff National Park offer some the finest cross-country trails in North America. Rentals are available at the Ski Stop located in the conference center.
HELI-SKIING
For those who crave extreme adventure, The Fairmont Banff Springs can arrange a day of heli-skiing on glacier slopes that you'll never forget. You'll be taken to some of the most majestic peaks in the Purcell Mountains where a mountain guide will lead you on 3 descents. You'll be treated to a picnic-style lunch on the mountain and cap off the day with a souvenir pin and certificate. Reservations are required and can be arranged through our Concierge.
