We were happy with the location, but overall our experience was average. First we were surprised by the “experience fee”. We booked through a third party so we assumed our stay was paid in full. In addition, we were charged more than what we were told it would be. ($25 plus $20. And we did not utilize any of these “experiences”). In addition we were charged for chocolates and water that we did not eat or drink. The accounting department have not returned any of my calls to have these charges removed.

Stayed for four days, three nights. Staff was wonderful, helpful and prompt. Hotel was clean, and we had amazing views. The main issue was that my colleague and I were staying in CHI for work in the a documentary film sector and we booked through our the VIP Visa Signatures Luxury Hotel portal, picking the Fairmont for its Enseo system and streaming services and offering. Without forewarning, it was all broken. TV was barely functional and streaming was down. No pay per view. The helpful staff sent their engineer with no luck. On the last night we were informed it was down entirely for the whole hotel. My coworker had to buy a Netflix subscription for us both so we could complete our work by deadline, and we had to write and watch from laptops—something that is worse in practice than theory and definitely a huge bummer/something we tried so hard to avoid. At checkout, my awesome front desk attendant was able to remove a portion of our charge (50% off the charge of one night) to compensate, which was actually very appreciated, as I NEVER ask for or receive compensation for things like this, but felt relieved about after spending our own M. to resolve. However, even though I saw that confirmation, when I got home the total charge was still on my card, which was very disappointing.
We slept so comfortably and enjoyed a delicious brunch in the 1st floor cafe’!
Good location, great views, comfy room. Overall stay was great. My only issue, that I may comment on elsewhere, is that I still hate extra "resort fees". You at least make it less obnoxious by allowing some or all of the fee to be applied to the lobby coffee bar, however, it could not be used towards the the hotel restaurant or convenience store.
The location was great and walking distance to anything we wanted to do downtown. The valet staff and front desk staff were all very friendly and answered all of our questions. Highly recommend. Very nice hotel. We did not have a “do not disturb” sign available in our room and the housekeeping did try to walk in once but walked back out once we said something. I’d make sure all rooms have that but otherwise, no complaints.
Not a good stay. Took forever for someone to respond. Had to request microwave and refrigerator and they brought it as I was preparing to go to bed. It was too late. I waited from 4:45 to about 5pm for help to get. Breakfast drinks and food when they told me someone would be with me in a few minutes. Smh
I would like to call out the exceptional service I have received. The gentleman in charge of Valet Parking, as well as the man who helps with checking bags are above and beyond my expectations. I have never had better service at a hotel. I will continue to stay at the Fairmont for Business and Personal trips because of the wonderful service.

Great staff, good food and drinks, did I say great staff and the room was clean and beautiful.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had a beautiful view and was very clean and nice. Definitely one of my top choices to stay.
