Our stay at The Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana was amazing - beautiful public spaces, attentive staff, fabulous pools, delicious restaurant and bar offerings, and a lovely beach club immediately across from the property. I would highly recommend considering when visiting the city.

Superb hospitality
Really enjoyed my few nights here. Celebrated my birthday and anniversary. Appreciate all the effort that was put in to make my stay special! Lucas at reception was very helpful! And Melissa from guest services put together a wonderful display for our anniversary! Highly recommend!

The situation above the most famous beach in the world and with a view to Sugarloaf and many other signatures in Rio is astounding. I loved the stay here because the hotel has - very nice and clean rooms - a world class spa with treatments and specialits who are really good - 2-3 very good restaurants and other food amenities which are always realiable and delicious - the pools and all amenities are really world-class, the 24 hours fitness has always the newest hardware, the gold lounge is a very nice extra that offers very fine breakfast, hors d'oevres in the evening and a large cocktail and drinks choice in the end, the MOST important Pluspoint is The Staff is without any exception one of the best and friendliest and service-oriented staff in the world, the ratio guest-staff must be horrendous, all people are that friendly and you can ask everything without being viewed with a strange or harried wrinkle. There are some stains that were deteriorating this overall very positive experience. During my stay, there was a problem with the public Wi-Fi and the hotel does not offer any other professional solution, esp. for me as a Accor Platin Member I would be entitled to use the highest available version but nobody knew about any solution as the hotel lines were down for more that 20 hours and there was no solution offered. The only solution for me was to use daypasses of my provider which costed a lot as it is from Switzerland. Another thing is, there is a shop in the hotel that sells very expensive souvenirs and another sells clothes, other there is nothing and I realised that in this zone there is almost nothing else where you can get i.e. forgotten grooming staff or (as it was in my case) a charger cable for an iPhone. The radio in the room with a docking station for iPhone also didnt work. Though I had to go by foot about 20 minutes in the whole sun to get my cable. I mean, a hotel that caters also to business clients should also have iPhone cables for rent. These two points were below expectation, though I cant give the highest number of evaluation although my heart is bleeding as the staff is so good and although I am going there only some days every year its like coming to a long distance family member here. If the shortcomings will next time no longer show up, I will of course evaluate to the highest possible rating.

The Fairmont was in the perfect location to all of the sights and experiences that Copacabana has to offer. The staff was very attentive to each guest that traveled in our group and any needs. I can not say enough about my stay and how much I enjoyed it. I will most certainly be going back.
