The Fairmont Copley Plaza Centennial Restoration
In celebration of The Fairmont Copley Plaza's
centennial, our hotel has completed an exciting restoration project, totaling over $20 million. The renovation included many enhancements to the hotel’s 383
guestrooms and
Fairmont Gold Lounge including new furniture, fixtures and equipment. New, upscale and contemporary features have been added to each guestroom and suite.
The Fairmont Copley Plaza has also added a brand new, state-of-the-art
health club, which debuted in early 2012. This fitness facility is located on the roof of the building, and includes 3,000 square feet for machines and free weights. A spacious outdoor deck is being built along the corridor of the building, perfect for relaxing before or after a workout, while floor-to-ceiling windows offer sweeping views of Boston's Back Bay.
Parker Torres, a Massachusetts-based international interior design and architectural firm specializing in hospitality design, managed this extensive project. The firm incorporated the exquisite marble and shades of color from the public space into the guestrooms. The effect in the guestrooms and corridors is a design palette of quiet sophistication that leverages the hotel’s rich history and Back Bay location, while also meeting the needs of today’s chic and contemporary traveler.
