2-3 Hour Itineraries

Undiscovered Boston Neighborhoods: Jamaica Plain (Two Hours)
One of Boston’s most culturally diverse, and somewhat undiscovered, neighborhoods is Jamaica Plain.

1:30 p.m. Head over to the historic Samuel Adams Brewery (30 Germania Street). At the brewery you’ll witness the brewing process firsthand and, literally, drink-it-all-in with a tasting. Tours are offered Wednesday through Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

3:30 p.m. For some additional local fare, a late lunch at Doyle’s Café (3484 Washington Street), a traditional Irish pub, is ideal.

Take Me Out To The Ballgame (Two Hours)
A visit to Boston would not be complete without a pilgrimage to Fenway Park (Yawkey Way), home of the Boston Red Sox. Built the same year as the Fairmont Copley Plaza (1912), Fenway is one of baseball’s most storied parks. Fenway offers tours of the ballpark daily; see the concierge for a schedule. After the tour, we recommend drinks and/or lunch at the Cask & Flagon (62 Brookline Avenue), a traditional pre- and post game hangout.

Bird’s Eye View (Two Hours)
If you have limited time to get an overview of Boston the Sky Walk Observatory (Prudential Center) is a great place to get a bird’s eye view and see the layout of the city. It’s a great way to start your visit.  Following a trip to the observatory, head back to ground level and visit the Boston Public Library for one of Boston’s most hidden treasures – high tea in the Novel, a restaurant that overlooks the Italianate courtyard (2:30 to 4:30 p.m.).
