Experience Boston’s most extensive martini menu at the Oak Bar (Fairmont Copley Plaza). Reminiscent of a British officer’s club, the Oak Bar is a sophisticated location ideal for either starting or ending a night out.

Fine Dining
For a more elegant dining experience, Hamersley’s Bistro (553 Tremont Street) is an excellent choice. The roasted lemon chicken is the highlight of Gordon Hamersley’s classic French menu and the restaurant excels at its use of local and organic ingredients.

Lineage Restaurant
Just a short subway or taxi ride away is one of Boston’s newest restaurants, Lineage (242 Harvard Street, Brookline). Lineage is a neighborhood restaurant that features new American cuisine with a focus on local ingredients and suppliers. Not to be missed is the Butterscotch pudding, which was recently featured in Food & Wine.

Toro Restaurant
The new Boston offers a cutting edge culinary scene and restaurateur Ken Oringer is one of its leaders. His newest restaurant Toro (1704 Washington Street), features a delectable array of tapas and cocktails.

South End Restaurants
After relaxing a bit at the hotel explore the culinary artistry of the South End. The restaurants in this part of the city tend to be frequented by locals, rather than visitors, so you’ll be getting a real taste of Boston.

Tucked away on Shawmut Avenue is The Franklin Café (278 Shawmut Avenue), a casual restaurant featuring a variety of comfort foods. Warning they do not take reservations.
