Burj Khalifa
A trip to Dubai would not be complete without a visit to the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.  For a first hand experience, the “At the Top” Observation deck offers unparalleled views of the city from level 124.  Tours usually last about 60 minutes to allow time to enjoy the spectacular 360-degree views of the Dubai skyline from the floor-to-ceiling glass walls.  Tickets can be purchased in advance, or from the lower ground of Dubai Mall.

Dubai Mall 
Located 10 minutes away from the Fairmont Dubai, the Dubai Mall is a haven for shopping aficionados.  With over 1,000 retail shops, including Bloomingdale’s, Galleries Lafayette, Debenhams, Marks & Spencer and Paris Gallery.  Dubai Mall is also home to a wide variety of leisure attractions, including the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, an ice rink, Reel Cinemas, Kidzania (a children’s entertainment venue) and Sega Republic, the indoor theme park, and 150 food and beverage outlets.

The Dubai Mall is located in downtown Dubai (approximately 10 minutes by taxi from the hotel).

The Gold Souk
Walk through the bustling streets of the Gold Souk, one of the largest retail gold markets in the world, and admire a dazzling collection of jewellery glistening through the shop windows. Choose from an endless selection of earrings, rings, bracelets and other jewellery pieces set in traditional or modern design, and select from many different types of gold. Whether purchasing gifts for family and friends or just wandering past the many purveyors of fine jewellery, a trip to Dubai is never complete without a visit to this famed market.  A short walking distance from the Gold Souk is the Spice Souk, which beckons both residents and tourists alike with the fragrant aromas of spices. Sacks of nutmeg, cinnamon, chilies, alongside a varied selection of dried fruits and nuts, are lined up in small shops and stands for guests to admire.
 
The Gold Souk and the Spice Souk are located in Deira (approximately 15 minutes by taxi from the hotel).
