GET STEEPED, FAIRMONT-STYLE!
Brand Declares November 12 Worldwide Tea Day and Hosts “Tea-rrific” Events
Vancouver, BC, October 19, 2011 – From Victoria to Shanghai, Fairmont has a long and illustrious history of serving the best Afternoon Tea in town. To celebrate the luxury hotel brand’s historic connection to this cherished tradition, Fairmont has declared Saturday, November 12, 2011 as an “official” day to pay tribute to all things tea. Get Steeped with Fairmont festivities will go on around the world and include everything from discounts for wearing fancy hats and signature “Tea-quila” cocktails to multicultural tea celebrations. For a full listing of Get Steeped events, fun tea facts, recipes and more, guests can visit: www.fairmont.com/getsteeped.
Get Steeped celebrations at Fairmont hotels in the Pacific Northwest will be as diverse as the hotels hosting them. From a hotel package that includes Afternoon Tea at The Fairmont Empress in Victoria to “best fancy hat” contests and tea-infused cocktails, we’ve got everything you need to warm up the month of November and share some time with family and friends.
Kids won’t be left out either, thanks to Children’s Tea on offer at many Fairmont hotels. Children’s Tea introduces youngsters to the ritual of Afternoon Tea in a fun way with tea fare designed just for tots: “Bubblegum Tea” (caffeine-free fruit tea dotted with real bubblegum pieces), finger sandwiches, fresh strawberries and cream and a giant chocolate chip cookie are just some of the sample treats on offer. See individual hotel sites for details.
