Bermuda Hotels: The Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel

Half Day Activities

The Fairmont Beach Club
Take the Fairmont Ferry from our private dock for a leisurely 45-minute ride over to The Waterlot Inn, Southampton and then catch the trolley to Fairmont’s Beach Club. There you can either relax or rent a kayak from the Dive shop, which is conveniently, located right on the beach.

The Fairmont Beach Club is situated next to Bermuda’s world-famous Horseshoe Beach and South Shore beaches. Ask the trolley driver to point out the connecting path to Horseshoe Beach. Walk or jog along the South Shore beach dune path. Enjoy one of Bermuda’s famous Dark N’ Stormies at the Cabana bar before catching the trolley and ferry back to The Fairmont Hamilton Princess.

Fairmont Golf In Paradise
Play golf at the elder statesman of Bermuda country clubs, Riddell’s Bay Golf and Country Club in Warwick. It has enticed golfers the world over since 1922 and is now available exclusively for Fairmont guests. Winding along a peninsula measuring only 600 yards at its widest, these lovely links provide a magnificent challenge to one's golf game and camera. The course measures relatively short 5,794 yards. With its tight fairways and small narrow greens, accuracy is the name of the game. Additional pleasure (or perhaps vexation, depending on your performance) is gained by the proximity of some holes to the ocean.

Should you want to play a shorter course, The Fairmont Southampton’s Executive Par-3 course is for you. Taking advantage of the beautiful surroundings and dramatic elevation changes, this 2,684-yard Bermuda golf course forces prudent club selection, with wind a definite factor. The golf club will store your bag on arrival. In addition, the club offers a practice green and complete pro shop. Club and shoe rentals are available.

Explore Town of St. George’s
Take public transportation to St. George’s, a world UNESCO heritage site, and enjoy rambling around the lanes of 17th century National Trust properties. The bus station is a 10-minute walk from the hotel and the bus journey is approximately 60 minutes one way and provides the perfect vantage point to view Bermuda’s byways and bays. St. Georges is part of the African Diaspora Heritage Trail and information booklets are available from the concierge to assist in retracing this important part of Bermuda’s history. Not to be missed is St. Peter’s Church the oldest Anglican church in the Western hemisphere.
