From Canvas to Cabins: Revitalizing the Great Canadian Lodge Experience.
We are thrilled to share plans for an exciting multi-year, multi-phase renovation. The extensive project will touch almost every area of the resort, further enhancing the guest experience for years to come. This substantial investment and grand vision is another milestone in the rich history of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.
122 Guestrooms were completely renovated from January to April, 2015. This included all Junior Suites, Lakefront Suites, 12 Junior Suites Fireplace, all Premier Deluxe and Fairmont Lakeview as well as all rooms in the Main Building. We have also added a 3rd room especially designed for our physically challenged guests.
217 more guestrooms were done in May 2016. This included all the remaining rooms on the property with the exception of some signature cabins at the North-West end of the property. These few remaining rooms will be renovated in 2017.
This means 90% of all guestrooms have been completely renovated including the 3 Whistler Cabins and Stanley Thompson Cabin.
Additionally, we will continue with further guestroom masonry work, exterior painting and cabin ventilation upgrades throughout the summer.
