Pilialoha (Romance)
Pink sunsets. White sand beaches. Warm nights. Swaying coconut trees. Where better to escape your everyday life and with your other half than Maui? Whether you’re celebrating a honeymoon, anniversary, or simply celebrating one another, there are endless opportunities to make lasting memories.
Sunset is the most romantic time of the day in Hawaii. There’s just something about watching the sun dip into the horizon that is a moment to share with someone special. Arrange a private dinner, book a sunset sailing excursion, or simply grab a blanket and picnic at the deli, and head for the beach.
The Road to Hana is romantic in its own right. Make a point to get to the North/East side of the island, where the rainforest continuously smells like spring and tropical flowers grow like weeds. You can explore on your own or with a tour.

- Oceanside Couples Massage - need we say more?
- Helicopter Tour - one of Maui's most thrilling and unforgettable activities
- Dinner at Capische? - Incredible Northern Italian and Southern French restaurant that oozes romance. Located at Hotel Wailea (5 minute drive).
Chesha’s Faves/Tips
 | - Haleakala Sunrise - If you’re jet lagged anyway, make the trip up to Haleakala crater and watch the sun rise from above the clouds. Tip: Bring every layer you have in your suitcase and stop for hot chocolate or coffee at Pukalani Superette. It may be Maui, but it gets cold up there!
- Lunch at Mama’s Fish House - Yes, lunch. Because Mama’s not only has incredible seafood, it also has some of the best ocean views on the island and they simply cannot be wasted at nighttime. Tip: Try the Mahimahi with lobster & crab and baked in a macadamia nut crust. It’s ono (really tasty!)
