Tucked into the woodlands, Fairmont Kenauk at Le Chateau Montebello is a pure nature retreat. For guests to fully experience the wilderness, we offer secluded first-class chalets, with one to six bedrooms. Each private cabin comes equipped with propane lights, stove, furnace and hot water tank.  All cabins are off the electrical grid so solar panels power the high efficiency refrigerator and water pump.  Ten of the 13 cabins have a spacious screened porch. Each cabin also has its own unique location attributes like nearby waterfalls or superb views. All have been recently renovated and accorded five-star chalet ratings by the Ministry of Tourism under the Quebec Outfitters program.  While there is no cellular phone coverage at Fairmont Kenauk and the only blackberries grow on bushes, cabins have some communication with the entrance gate using 2 way radios and there is a pay phone at the Whitefish Lake Picnic site.
