Telluride Festivals

In many places around the country and around the world, the onset of spring and summer mean the onset of festivals. Deep in the mountains of Southwest Colorado, the world class ski resort town of Telluride comes alive each May as the "Festival Capital of the Southwest." With an event taking place nearly every weekend through September, Telluride has earned a reputation for hosting some of the nation's oldest, most popular- and most unusual- festivals.

Telluride Colorado's MountainFilm features a distinctive blend of films, speakers and gallery exhibits, slide presentations, seminars and on-the-street conversations that demonstrate the power of visual arts to instigate change.

The Telluride Bluegrass Festival features four days of bluegrass music on the stage in the Telluride Town Park.

Telluride, Colorado's Fourth of July is considered one of the town's premier events, featuring a truly entertaining parade followed by a barbecue in Town Park, root beer floats and one fo the most exhilarating pyrotechnical experience.

Each year the Telluride Yoga Festival is an incredible weekend with world-class instructors, workshops and events. There is no better place to experience incredible yoga than the unforgettable setting of Telluride, Colorado.

The Telluride Jazz Celebration weekend is in fact, a "celebration" of the art, soul, history and future of an all-American art form. Join Jazz greats for a weekend of music on the stage in Telluride Town Park by day and intimate bar venues by night.

Each Labor Day Weekend, the tiny town of Telluride, Colorado, triples in numbers for the Telluride Film Festival. Swells of passionate film enthusiasts flood the town for four days of total cinematic immersion, embarking on a viweing odyessy.

Although Telluride is known for it's summer festivals, the fun still continues throughout the winter. Ring in the New Year by watching a torchlight parade that descends from atop the ski area into both Telluride and Mountain Village. Celebrate the countdown and fireworks by gathering at the base of the historic San Miguel county courthouse's clock tower.
