DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From Calgary International Airport (about 2 hour 30 minutes)

  • Take the only exit road leaving the Airport  
  • Continue to follow this road, it will become Barlow Trail        
  • Take Barlow Trail South to 16th Avenue        
  • Go west (right) onto 16th Avenue        
  • 16th Avenue becomes TransCanada Highway 1, which takes you straight through to Banff  National Park(45-60 minute drive)        
  • Once you arrive at the Banff National Park gates you will be required to pay a fee. Entry and service fees are charged at most national parks and national historic sites, where revenues are kept to support visitor services and facilities. This means, that every time you visit a park or site you are investing in its future, and in a legacy for future generations. Click here for rates        
  • After that continue to follow the signs for the hamlet of Lake Louise, continuing on the TransCanada Highway        
  • Forty minutes past the Town of Banff, take a right turn-off marked for Lake Louise         
  • Turn left at the top of that road, proceed through 2 stops signs and continue straight on this road up hill (4 km, 2.4 miles)         
  • This will take you directly to the front doors of the hotel         
  • The trip will take about 2.5 hours from Calgary, weather dependant. Calgary is 183 km from Lake Louise

From the East (Calgary, about 2 hours)

  • Take TransCanada Highway 1 West (also signed as 16th Avenue North heading West)        
  • Once you arrive at the Banff National Park gates you will be required to pay a fee. From the West (Vancouver, about 9 hours)

  • Take TransCanada Highway 1 East (via Revelstoke, Golden -approximately two hours) until you pass the border into Alberta which becomes Banff National Park.        
  • In Banff National Park, follow the signs for the hamlet of Lake Louise        
  • Exit on the right, proceed through 2 stop signs and continue straight up hill on this road (4km, 2.4mi)        
  • This will take you directly to the front doors of the hotel

From the North (Edmonton, about 4.5 hours)

  • Take Hwy 2 South to Calgary (via Red Deer)        
  • Then take TransCanada Highway 1 West (also signed as 16th Avenue North heading West.)

  • Take Hwy 93 North (via Radium) to Castle Junction and then go west (turn left)

  • Proceed through 2 stop signs and continue on this road up hill(4km, 2.4mi)                   
  • This will take you directly to the front doors of the hotel.
