With the fresh air on your face and the beautiful Canadian Rocky Mountains behind our 1.5-hour ride you will have the opportunity to get to know the dogs, their guides, while learning the basics of driving a team and are encouraged to drive the team home!
Tours operate six days a week from mid-December until mid-April.
Gourmet to go, and our happy trails never end. Stop by our Chateau Deli for a delicious hot chocolate, a tasty treat and head out our back door to some superb mountain trails. Fairview Lookout is a short but moderately steep walk though a sub- alpine forest of spruce and fir to beautiful views looking down on the Chateau, Lake Louise and mountains beyond. Historic Chateau Tour
The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is more than a grand hotel. Since 1890, it has played a considerable role in the colourful history of Canada's mountain West. We continue to share the rich Heritage of this national icon with a self-guided Historical tour in our extraordinary Mount Temple Wing. Designed to meet the needs of modern business while paying tribute to the centuries-old heritage and the protected wildlife of Banff National Park, the new Mount Temple Wing is aptly named for its luxurious cathedral-like interior spaces and as a tribute to the tallest peak in the area. The dramatic and soaring two-story Heritage Hall is distinguished by five arched windows with handmade stained glass illustrations of the key wildlife of Lake Louise: eagle, bear, fish, mountain goat and wolf. The wing reminisces over the historical significance and related flora, ecosystem dynamics and trails of Banff National Park.
See the Concierge for a Chalet to Chateau brochure before you start your complimentary tour

There is always a chance to see elk, deer, moose and bears so bring your camera as this could be the opportunity of a lifetime. If you have some additional time stop at Johnston Canyon where you can journey up on numerous suspended catwalks before reaching the grotto of spectacular upper waterfalls.
