Snowshoe Excursion
Winter reigns supreme along the peaks of the Great Divide. With an average annual snowfall of approximately 4m/ 13feet, our area is superb for this ancient and efficient mode of travel. If you can walk, you can snowshoe! After gearing up and listening to a brief explanation of the basics of snowshoeing, you and your fully certified guide will venture into the forest to look for signs of creatures that have adapted to the demanding winter conditions. Learn to read the tracks of different animals and discover who is hunting whom for lunch.
Program not recommended for children under 8. Daily Departures: 1:30pm.

Summer Hiking Trails
Lake Agnes hiking trail is one of the most popular in the Banff National Park for one good reason: The first switch back lets you look down on the turquoise waters of Lake Louise. Continuing upward, you pass Mirror Lake tucked under the shear cliffs of the Big Beehive. At the Tea House you can enjoy a tasty treat and beverage all the while enjoying the breathtaking backdrop.
Distance: 7km/ 4.4mi Gain: 385m/ 1,260’ 3-hours round-trip. Please bring cash for any food related costs.

Gourmet to go, and our happy trails never end. Stop by our Chateau Deli for a delicious hot chocolate, a tasty treat and head out our back door to some superb mountain trails. Fairview Lookout is a short but moderately steep walk though a sub- alpine forest of spruce and fir to beautiful views looking down on the Chateau, Lake Louise and mountains beyond. After the ascent you can sit at the viewpoint and chat about how a five star hotel ended up in this magnificent six star landscape.
Distance: 2. 3 km/ 1.4mi Gain: 106m/ 350’ 1-hour round-trip.

Stunning Canoe Cruise
Paddle the day away on the beautiful and always breathtaking Lake Louise. Enjoy stunning scenery, aquamarine water and the stunning peaks of the Victoria glacier. Canoe rentals are available at the boathouse, located on the west shore of Lake Louise.

Scenic Car Tour
A great car tour for photographers! Begin your journey from beautiful Lake Louise and learn about the natural forces that have shaped the appearance of the lakes and streams found in this area of the Rocky Mountains. Begin your journey at Moraine Lake then cross the Great Divide to experience Yoho National Park, the Spiral Tunnels and Takakkaw Falls before returning back to Lake Louise.
See the Concierge for a map before you start your 3-hour tour.

Gondola Tour Up The Mountain
Experience the panoramic splendour of Lake Louise! Surrounded by majestic peaks and glaciers, Lake Louise is truly a special place to experience the beauty of the Canadian Rockies… and what better way to capture the spectacular view than from 1,600 feet above the valley on a Gondola tour. Once aboard you will have an approximate fourteen-minute ride up the mountain, while you enjoy hills of wild flowers, natural springs and possibly even some wildlife. Make sure to bring your camera, as you will have a beautiful panoramic view of Lake Louise and surrounding area. Enjoy various snacks and beverages at the lodge while viewing Mount Fairview, Mount Lefroy, Temple Mountain and many other mountain ranges. There is a complimentary shuttle service to and from the Lake Louise Gondola from our resort.
Gondola Tours operate daily from 9:00am to 3:00pm

After your excursion, spend some time in a place that embodies the pleasures of a more civilized time.  Drink in the glorious view from the arched windows that face the lake. The Lakeview Lounge serves light lunches and on winter afternoons becomes the place to make a reservation for Afternoon tea, a relaxed and pleasant ritual of sandwiches, scones, sweets and polished silver.
Tea is served daily from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Reservations Recommended.
