excellent hotel. located next to the parliament and many other tourist attractions. the Hotel is clean, spacious and very quiet. all staff very friendly
Th walls were very thin, we were placed next to another family with toddler and heard the toddler cry and being console all night long.
Overall beautiful hotel however did not sleep well as there was a bright light outside my room window and my neighbour I could hear very clear late into the night.

Loved staying in your historic building
We love the service on the gold floor.
The Fairmont Château Laurier is ideally situated in the downtown core of Ottawa. Despite the Château's architectural splendor, the hotel is welcoming in so many ways. The rooms are tastefully appointed, with all of the amenities. As is to be expected in such a high end hotel, the bathrooms have a waterfall shower, with an additional handheld head. Cosy cotton robes are supplied for couples. The beds, pillows and bedclothes are immaculate. And for those who like to sleep in a little, the check-out time is later than most hotels. I was thrilled to find that there is a tea kettle, not just a coffee maker, available. I can tell you from experience that this is a rarety. As for the meal I had in Zoe's Lounge, It was beyond reproach. I had a healthy, tasty meal and everything was cooked to perfection. The service was just right. My wait person was fast, friendly, helpful but not intrusive. They do everything right, including fast check-in and check-out.
The hotel was located a 4 minute walk from the conference centre, which made it very convenient. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. I couldn't have chosen a better hotel to stay at for my visit. ...the concierge could be a little better at opening the doors for their guests when they are arriving and departing the hotel

When I was waiting for valet to bring our suitcases in I tripped on a carpet that was not secure and hit my head on the trolly. No one seemed to care. I came in with a beautiful bouquet of roses and one would think that the front desk would ask what we were celebrating. No. Tv remote didn’t work. They bring another one and I said “should we not check it” and the response was “I did”. Well it didn’t work. Problem with TV. Room bathroom was not clean. Worse was the fact that we had to leave the next morning because I got really sick. Due to the fact that we were leaving early we had to pay 50% of our reserved stay. So much for compassion. We have stayed at the hotel in Vancouver and Quebec City with amazing experiences. This was so disappointing. Oh, and there is no business centre and staff not allowed to scan and email for me. Seriously!!!????
I was there for a two day conference and enjoyed my time spent at the hotel.
