Gustave Doré (1832-1883): Master of Imagination


Gustave Doré was an extremely talented artist with a vivid imagination whose works have become an inspiration to many people. The National Gallery of Canada will be featuring an exhibit on Doré’s art from June to September. The Musée d’Orsay in Paris has lent over 100 of Doré’s works (including paintings and sculptures) to the National Gallery of Canada for the exhibit.

Changing the Guard

This full-costume, military drill by the Ceremonial Guard of the Canadian Forces is offered everyday this summer on Parliament Hill at 10 a.m. Come experience this performance, rain or shine!

Torchlight Shakespeare Festival


The Company of Fools proudly presents their rendition of William Shakespeare’s As You Like It in parks throughout Ottawa. The play runs Mondays through Saturdays at 7 p.m. There is a suggested donation of $15 for the show.

Mosaika: Sound and Light Show


Mosaika is story-telling at its finest. A brief and bilingual history of Canada is projected using sound and light onto the Parliament buildings at this nightly event. The show is free and runs throughout the summer.

Ottawa Fury
