Stay was fine but there were a few misses upon arrival... When I first went to my room, key did not work. When I received a new key and finally got into my room, I was having issues with internet. I tried calling the front desk and the phone would not work (broken). I had to go back down to the front desk. While at front desk and I asked if they could put 3-4 diet cokes in my mini-fridge. That never happened during my stay. Not a great first impression but all minor stuff. Otherwise, the hotel experience was fine.
Nice hotel very close to the conference center - extremely convenient if you are coming for a conference Room is still having finishing renovations done but is nice Only went to the restaurant once for a chicken burger.. it was a decent chicken burger lol. The complimentary cocktail was excellent Gym is excellent Did not try spa
I stayed there for 2 nights - I wasn't informed on check -in that there was a problem with water. AFter a long flight all I wanted was a hot shower which was not available the next morning. The Front Desk just told me she would call Engineering and get back to me which she promptly forgot to do. - I was under the assumption it was just my room. When I called back i was informed that it was an issue with the new rooms. I encountered the same issue both days. I will say the food was good, room service was efficient . I am still waiting for my invoice which i aske be emailed to me at cr…

I stay here somewhat regularly for business. Front desk staff are always great super quick getting me checked in and out. Very kind. Great recommendations on where to eat
Stayed at this hotel while we were in Edmonton for weekend Oilers game. The stay was mostly good, but it could have been great. A few issues with the room that should have been sorted out prior to us arriving.
We have stayed at the MacDonald Hotel 8 or more times over the past 17 years to celebrate our anniversary. This year we were not happy with our stay. When we checked in we asked for late check-out which was part of the Romance package that we purchased. We were surprised when there was a knock on our door just after noon letting us know it was time to check out! The price of the hotel room has increased significantly, and I don't know if we will be able to come to your hotel any longer, you are out of our 'price range' now, and that makes me sad as we spent our wedding night at your hotel and celebrated there many times. The last thing is your pricing of food and drinks. I understand that the cost if everything is higher, but I find it hard to swallow spending $30 for eggs benedict when all I get is oven roasted new potatoes, an english muffin, 2 eggs and hollandaise sauce. We had breakfast in our room, we asked for the cook on our eggs to be medium, they were over cooked, the yolks were hard and starting to turn colour. The food was presented on a brown plate, the potatoes are brown and then the eggs benedict. You used to include tomatoes that had been roasted or grilled but now, nothing. I believe you used to have fresh fruit on the plate as well, again nothing. It was the most unappealing dish I have seen in a long time. We had lunch in the lounge the day we checked in, we had 2 glasses of beer, a bowl of soup, a grilled sandwich with a small salad and the bill over $120... again... overpriced for what we received. As I am writing this it makes me sad to give this review, we always looked forward to coming to the MacDonald hotel to celebrate our anniversary and now I just don't know if we will be back, we have already started talking about which hotel we will try next year.

We have been staying at the Fairmont Edmonton for 25 years and their level of service and attention to detail is consistently outstanding. This time we were there for a wedding reception that was hosted in one of their refurbished venue rooms and it was truly a night to remember, we chose to stay on for a few days to take a quick escape from the normal responsibilities of life. The Gold rooms are well worth the extra little cost if you are going to be hanging around the hotel for any period of time, the lounge is fully stocked and is a comfortable place to work or relax. Highly recommended.
It had been a few years since my last visit. The room reno is lovely. My only regret.... my lobby visits did not coincide with your pup's on site shift.
