Mridul Bhatt is excited for his next step on his journey into the prairies, joining Fairmont Hotel Macdonald as executive chef. The India raised chef arrived in Canada for his first Canadian adventure when he joined his previous team at the Fairmont Waterfront. Chef Mridul spent more than a decade of his career working in and opening luxury hotels in India. His talents were recognized and he was sent to an award winning Four Seasons in California, where he was able to discover a new passion with working with local farmers and wineries of Napa Valley.

Bhatt has arrived on our doorstep to join our team from Vancouver and is excited to see how he can contribute to prairie cuisine. He will bring his worldly flare and spice things up in the small city of Edmonton. He is excited to get his hands on developing our sustainability programs: our beehives, our herb garden and seeing what else he can bring to the table.
