Alberta Aviation Museum
Relive Edmonton's rich aviation history in the museum's hanger at the City Centre Airport, and see vintage planes dating back to the 1920s. The Alberta Aviation Museum has over 40 display cabinets and exhibits, 27 historic aircraft on display, an active aircraft restoration area, personal artifact displays of famous Bush Pilots W.R. 'Wop' May, Stan McMillan, and others, as well as special annual events.

Alberta Legislature Grounds
The Alberta Legislature is home to a significant part of Alberta's rich history. Statues of Chief Crowfoot and Princess Alberta stand in the rotunda. View portraits of former Premiers and Lieutenant-Governors that line the halls of the third and fourth floors, or take a stroll in the 57 acres of park surrounding the building!

Devonian Botanical Gardens
Explore the 'back-country' aspect of the Devonian Botanical Garden on one of their winding nature trails. Highlights of this picturesque attraction include live butterflies, Japanese Gardens, Native Gardens, and nature trails.
The Devonian Botanical Gardens are located five minutes north of Devon on Highway 60. The garden is approximately 30 minutes from downtown Edmonton, the U of A campus, and St. Albert. The garden is only 15 minutes southwest of West Edmonton Mall.
Rexall Place
The ghosts of Stanley Cups past loom large at Rexall Place. The Edmonton Oilers' five Stanley Cup pennants, flanked by the many other divisional banners, hang from the rafters. The Oilers call Rexall Place home, playing before sellout crowds of more than 17,000.
The popular Canadian Finals Rodeo packs the house every November. The 1996 World Figure Skating Championships drew fans from across the globe, and the 2004 Canadian Championships did the same. The 1999 Brier rocked the house as curling fans packed the arena. Others who have rocked the house include: Luciano Pavarotti, Tina Turner, The Guess Who, Bryan Adams, Cher, the Tragically Hip, and Garth Brooks.

Muttart Conservatory
The Muttart Conservatory is a unique horticultural display garden that brings together a collection of over 700 species of plants from a diverse range of climatic conditions. The Conservatory features four pyramids with each maintaining unique environmental conditions to meet the needs of the plants housed within. Rutherford House Historical Site
The gleam of polished silver, the warm glow of a library lamp, and the aroma of freshly-baked scones beckon visitors into the home of Alberta's first Premier, Alexander Cameron Rutherford. For many years, Rutherford House welcomed the political and social elite of Alberta. Today, this restored Edwardian mansion maintains that tradition of hospitality and recaptures the spirit of Edmonton in 1915. Costumed interpreters recreate daily household activities, reenact important events in Rutherford's life, and lead guided tours of his home. The Friends of Rutherford House provide visitors with a taste of the past in the Arbour Restaurant, and the gift shop offers keepsakes reminiscent of Edwardian times.

Spectrum at Northlands Park
This luxurious horse racing and entertainment center, features thoroughbred and live harness racing in summer months. There is also a California-style restaurant and gaming area, featuring slot machines. Facilities include The Spectrum (Horse Racing and Gaming), Agricom, Sportex, Golden Garter, and Silver Slipper. Northlands Park produces many annual special events including Edmonton's Klondike Days Exposition (July), Farmfair International (November), and the Canadian Finals Rodeo (November) in addition to year-round thoroughbred and harness horse racing (live and simulcast).

Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village
Come and discover a fascinating story of personal hardship and triumph at the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village. This historic site tells the story of Ukrainian immigrants and the development of the Bloc Settlement in East Central Alberta from 1892 to 1930.
Role players in period costume recreate a variety of historic characters that will inspire your family's imagination. Take a guided tour through the farmsteads, town site, and rural community. Ride in a horse-drawn grain tank or explore the site on your own. Bring a picnic lunch and your camera and enjoy a relaxing day with friends and family. (Open May to September for tours.)

Valley Zoo
Located on the west side of the city, next to Laurier Park, the Valley Zoo is home to over 400 animals including about 20 endangered species. This facility is an accredited Species Survival Plan breeding center for five species including Cotton-Top Tamarins, Siberian Tigers, and Snow Leopards. There are many hands-on activities for all ages, including Old Macdonald's farm petting zoo.
