It was a good stay but did not start well as the check-in staff are not great. It feels like the think they are giving you room for free and thet you have to beg for one that you actually booked for. I booked City view and was first given a room in a corner which had a view of a wall only and the room was dark like a grave. I said this is not correct and had to insist on another room, was sent to the duty manger who tried to help,so they sent me to another room on the 52nd floor which had no view again, only a terrace which was not accessible, a toilet which had 2 chip and nearly cut my leg while in ihram. I had to go back to the duty manger and beg for another room as this was not correct, and got very emotional as it was a very long day traveling and being in ihram. He them sent me to a room on the 15th floor which was mashallah amazing. And the rest of the 9 day stay was amazing. The backend staff are all great and make the stay pleasent. It's just the reception who just seem very rude and not bothered.

The services provided for rooms that exceed 3 are incredibly unsatisfactory. I endured a wait of over 6 hours to have my rooms settled for check-in. It is advised not to book more than 2 rooms under an individual account. Despite paying more than 2k Riyal per day, I was allocated a room designated for a disabled person. Please refer to the video below to witness the situation. Regrettably, they neither offered a refund nor provided any form of compensation. Only after voicing my grievances did they consider changing my room. On one occasion, I waited for nearly 3 hours only to have someone suddenly claim that a minister from another country had jumped ahead of me in the queue, and the hotel staff allowed him to proceed first. I had spent 20 times more than that minister. As platinum members, this treatment has left me deeply disillusioned. I am convinced that this will be my final stay with this hotel. This unpleasant experience serves as a sequel to my first encounter with the same hotel, which occurred 2 months ago during a family trip. It is disheartening to observe that this seems to be the culture of the Fairmont Hotel. Thank you.
The hotel location is right at the doorstep of masjid Al haram and the staff are very kind and professional in dealing with the guests particularly reception and housekeeping. In fact everyone did their duty very professionally.

This was my third stay with Fairmont during the holy month of Ramadan, I wish I could bring all my kids next time unfortunately booking.com won’t show any suggestion for family rooms at fairmont !
I spent great time in the hotel , not my first time and not last Every thing 10/10
Our stay 7-9 Ramadan,17-19 March,room 1701 Our stay is perfect from check in till check out, we checked in early thanks to Mr Ziyad Almehmadi & Mr Ziyad Alfadhli. The hotel location is perfect,containing the best prayer hall facing Almasjid Alharam,very clean, taking care of all the hygiene requirements. Sohour buffet is very good with nice & alot of delicious varieties thanks to all team there,special thanks to Mr AbdulKareem the supervisor of all.our thanks to Mr Muhammad Al Zubaidi from guests relation desk for his polite attitudes and follow up. We would like to thank Mr Ridhwan from bell captain service. Also thanks to Mr Rashid, Mr Babar , all the others from housekeeping who we don't remember their names. Definitely we will recommend this hotel and we will rate it 10 out of 10. Thanks again to the security team and all in the hotel for their attention and polite attitudes.

Everything was extremely good. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. Whatever we asked from the house keeping,, they’re willing to do it. The food in the buffet was more than enough. Thank you.
