Very bad smell in the room, I went to the reception complaining, they offer us to spray air refreshener to mask the odor, I refused cause one of us have respiratory issues, they change the room with the same but less odourous than the previous one, also the bedsheets and the towels are worn out and the pillows are thin and lumpy from overusing. and the taste of the food is not pleasing at all!! It was a disaster experience we came to do Umra after which we were exhausted and needed a comfortable stay to relax after, it was disappointing the hotel considering a very very expensive 5 star hotel. The experience in the room was horrible, the good things in this hotel are it is beside the holy mosque AlHaram, it has a prayer area infront of alharam the facilities are great and the staff are very welcoming and helpfull
Good quality of service but too much waiting time for lifts, too many lifts to change to go to the Haram.
It’s been second time we booked this hotel.I think it best from the other hotel in this area

It was a good stay but did not start well as the check-in staff are not great. It feels like the think they are giving you room for free and thet you have to beg for one that you actually booked for. I booked City view and was first given a room in a corner which had a view of a wall only and the room was dark like a grave. I said this is not correct and had to insist on another room, was sent to the duty manger who tried to help,so they sent me to another room on the 52nd floor which had no view again, only a terrace which was not accessible, a toilet which had 2 chip and nearly cut my leg while in ihram. I had to go back to the duty manger and beg for another room as this was not correct, and got very emotional as it was a very long day traveling and being in ihram. He them sent me to a room on the 15th floor which was mashallah amazing. And the rest of the 9 day stay was amazing. The backend staff are all great and make the stay pleasent. It's just the reception who just seem very rude and not bothered.
the room is clean , the workers are so nice and helpful, the food is good, the view is awesome. On the other hand, couldn't get my food ( Iftar, Sohoor) in the room because the workers refused to give me exceptional. I wish that they have the authority/ flexibility to allow it.
I always stay at the Fairmont Clock Royal Tower and have stayed ever since it first opened. It is very sad to see the state the hotel is in. When it opened it was a top notch, meticulously maintained hotel. This stay may have been my last there. The hotel is aging with no efforts to update as times go on (at almost 12 years old a small refresh would be expected). The rooms have several things that don't work, bathrooms are now disgusting with dirt in the grout and just overuse with no deep cleaning. Housekeeping was terrible as well - they still knock on the door repeatedly even if the do not disturb sign is on, if you ask them for something (in any of their languages) they still forget something or another. Worst of all the food which used to always be good was simply terrible and almost inedible. I understand its Ramadan and there are a lot of people to feed at the same time but still I expected better taste from Fairmont. Even though I prepaid for breakfast and dinner I ended up eating out instead just to have something edible. Overall I think I'm done staying here - its seen its better days and it hurts me to see it falling from what a great hotel it once was. Way overpriced for the quality received.
One of the best hotels good atmosphere good saff good location excellent restaurant very delicious food Nice representation of the food good variety Excellent outstanding
the hotel was recommended to us by family members that's why we chose to stay here but were disappointed slow check-in process even though I have a loyalty account on all.com no clear entrance furniture needs maintenance (outdated) The concierge was not helpful or professional at all! room service was very slow. wouldn't recommend it to anyone for sure

The services provided for rooms that exceed 3 are incredibly unsatisfactory. I endured a wait of over 6 hours to have my rooms settled for check-in. It is advised not to book more than 2 rooms under an individual account. Despite paying more than 2k Riyal per day, I was allocated a room designated for a disabled person. Please refer to the video below to witness the situation. Regrettably, they neither offered a refund nor provided any form of compensation. Only after voicing my grievances did they consider changing my room. On one occasion, I waited for nearly 3 hours only to have someone suddenly claim that a minister from another country had jumped ahead of me in the queue, and the hotel staff allowed him to proceed first. I had spent 20 times more than that minister. As platinum members, this treatment has left me deeply disillusioned. I am convinced that this will be my final stay with this hotel. This unpleasant experience serves as a sequel to my first encounter with the same hotel, which occurred 2 months ago during a family trip. It is disheartening to observe that this seems to be the culture of the Fairmont Hotel. Thank you.
