Set in the northwestern corner of the Maasai Mara, at the foot of the Aitong Hills in the Olchoro Oirowua Conservancy, Fairmont Mara Safari Club is your gateway to the world’s most iconic safari destination. The reserve is home to each of the Big Five as well as the annual wildebeest migration – a natural spectacle to which you’ll have front row seats thanks to our expert guides and twice-daily game drives. Wildlife encounters are augmented by unforgettable bush dining experiences and Maasai cultural shows in our river-view lounge and bar.

Our 5-star hotel in the Maasai Mara offers 38 tented rooms decorated in an elegant blend of traditional Maasai and heritage safari styles. Each one is a sanctuary complete with a canopied four-poster bed, an en-suite bathroom with solar-heated water, and a private deck overlooking the Mara River. This is the setting for some of your most precious memories, from morning moments watching hippos and crocodiles while sipping a fragrant, full-bodied coffee to languid afternoons spent relaxing with a good book. Some of our deluxe tents also have an atmospheric outdoor shower.

  • Air Kenya Aviation offers daily flights to and from the Mara region. Airplanes range from 5 to 25-seaters. Airport tax is payable when buying your tickets.  Besides Air Kenya, Aircraft Leasing Services and Eagle Aviation also provide daily scheduled flights to the Mara.

    Please note baggage allowance is 15 kgs, including hand luggage. Airport tax is payable at the time of purchasing the ticket.

  • The Mara region of Kenya is not readily accessible by private car. We recommend that International travelers speak to our knowledgeable Reservations specialists about booking professional ground transfer or, preferably, a flight transfer to the Ngerende airstrip, located only 10 minutes from the Club.

    The Mara Safari Club has 20 4 x4 landcruisers on site, each of which can seat 6 people in window seats - six beneath the opening hatches. besides the driver-guide. These are used for transfers to and from the airstrip, as well as for game drives.

Wonderful stay

We came as a family of four with two young children plus two guests. The atmosphere was welcoming, tents were beautiful, food delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed our game drives. One of our guests required a gluten free diet and we felt that the staff were very aware and attentive about this.

Luxurious Glamping

Driving to the Fairmont Mara Safai Club was intimidating because of the rough roads, but once inside the gates it was an oasis of luxury! The service, the facilities and especially the glamorous tents made this adventure worth the rough ride. And of course, the safaris enriched my life to see God's handiwork on display. Nice stay

This was a repeat trip , I am actually not able to tell the difference between the last visit and this one , but been a repeat guest I expected better/improved services since the last time I visited was years back . But we don’t have complains . It’s just human nature to expect improvement. We expected some few guards around the hotel to walk guest to their rooms at night . Some guest come from quiet places and considering it’s park we are meant to be scared walking alone along the walkways , it’s just nice to ask if one needed to be escorted to their cottages . Thank you .
