Be part of this lively celebration which honors the ancient ritual of the Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), one of the most important Mexican traditions. The festival, taking place at Xcaret will offer to the visitors four days of colorful and cheerful experiences referring to this special ritual that honors our Dearly Departed. Families from different Mayan communities will be special guests to show their traditions including offerings, culinary treats, theater, music, handcrafts and children’s workshops to make Quintana Roo’s Day of the Dead a festivity for all. Guest of the Fairmont Mayakoba will also enjoy a cooking class of Mucbil Pollo, a traditional dish prepared by the Mayans only in celebration of Hanal Pixan.
