Climate
Monte Carlo offers moderate weather year-round with an average low of 60 degrees Fahrenheit in January and average high of 89 degrees Fahrenheit in August.
Clothing
Casual wear is acceptable most of the time. Some establishments (nightclubs, bars and restaurants) have a 'no jeans, no running shoes' policy. Certain dining rooms require men to wear jackets to dinner. Please take the time to call ahead to verify the appropriate dress code.
Credit Cards
Credit cards are widely accepted throughout Monaco (except taxis) . Bank machines are available and debit cards are also widely used. Accepted methods of payment are: American Express, Diners Club, JCB Card, Visa, MasterCard, Cash, Interac and Debit cards.
Currency
Financial institutions will provide a credible rate of exchange when switching your currency for Euros.
Electrical Current
The electrical current is 220 Volts / 50 Cycles, different from Canada and the U.S.A. For curling irons and electric razors, guests require electrical voltage converters. The Conciege desk can supply an adaptor only (available on request).
Liquor Laws
You are required to be 18 years of age or older to purchase and / or consume alcoholic beverages.
