Glacier of Les Diablerets (Glacier 3000)
Climb up into the Swiss Alps. Through small alpine villages and past old chalets, you will reach the village of “Les Diablerets” - or "little devils". A breathtaking cable car will take you up in 20 minutes to the glacier of Les Diablerets (9000 ft). You will see an unforgettable and majestic panorama of the highest summits in the Alps. Welcome drink, along with team building exercises, husky rides, and a snow bus ride on the glacier are followed by lunch in the famous Botta restaurant. Visiting Les Diablerets is must! Accessible by train and by cable cars.
The only means of reaching the summit is either by train or by foot. We recommend taking the 55-minute cog wheeled train ride, which will take you from Montreux, up to the Rochers-de-Naye, 6,700 ft above sea level. The train’s scenic route takes you through the old part of Montreux, up to Glion and Caux leaving the busy town behind you. Once at the top you will have a spectacular view from above the tree line. Visit the alpine garden where, amongst other flowers, the Edelweiss can be found. Then laze in the strong mountain sun and air, or have lunch in one of two restaurants over looking the Savoy & Swiss Alps and Jura mountains. Get away from all the cars and people and just watch the world go round while you stand on the summit.
There is a special “Old Time” (steam train) available on request, which can be supplemented over the more modern train.
