NEWPORT BEACH, CA February 2012 –The colleagues of the Fairmont Newport Beach join the nation in celebrating American Heart Month.  During the month of February, the hotel will reaffirm its commitment to increasing awareness about heart disease through a number of initiatives and programs.

The color red, the national symbol of heart disease awareness, will take center stage at the hotel- handsome valet ambassadors will don red shirts and bartender mixologists will sport red ties.  Other employees are also joining in the mission by celebrating National Wear Red Day; many will be adorned with the AHA ‘red dress’ lapel pins.
Ruby flowers and candles will adorn the property’s lobby and lounges.  And to truly show our colors, we’re lighting up the front drive in brilliant Fairmont crimson through the end of the month.

Bambu’s famed Quattro Lunch will feature “red” themed menus and will be donating $1 per person per meal from Quattro lunch proceeds. Hotel-wide 5% of total proceeds from Lifestyle Cuisine Plus * items will support the cause throughout the month.

Hearts are sure to flutter over the O.C’s “Heart Healthy Package” which includes accommodation, Lifestyle Cuisine breakfast for two and a “De-Stress” massage.  (Percentage of package sales to benefit American Heart Association)
