Farm to Fork Specialties
Keeping up with the growing trend of Farm to Fork dining options, Fairmont The Norfolk has introduced a new specialty for Fairmont President’s Club diners who are conscious of healthy eating and the effects of their food choices on the environment. A true advocate for local cuisine, the property strives to use indigenous products and traditional dishes, adding its own creative enhancements.
Visitors can now enjoy the luxury of having tailor-made cuisines using locally sourced ingredients from our very own organic vegetable gardens and farm sourced produce, which are sustainable and yield healthier quality dishes.
Some of the organic food items include the Morendat Platinum beef, raised in Naivasha and comes from selected crossbred steers, which are fed exclusively on premium corn, to give the steak a delectable flavor and velvety texture.
Guests can also opt for the Naivasha Lamb raised under similar conditions to the Morendat Platinum Beef, or fresh coastal seafood such as giant Tiger Prawns and Spiny Lobsters, plus an array of organic vegetables including tree tomatoes, fresh asparagus, rhubarbs, among others.
In addition, guests can also enjoy a day tour to the Morendat Farm & vineyard in Naivasha and crown it off with an organic 3 course lunch accompanied with refined local wine; carefully prepared by our Executive Chef.
