Karura Forest Walk
The nature walk takes place in Karura forest, which has national historical significance having been rescued by Professor Wangari Maathai, founder of the Green Belt Movement and a Nobel Peace Prize Winner. Because of her extensive campaigns the forest was restored and tourists can now enjoy the beauty and tranquility offered by the diverse tree canopies, caves, scenic waterfalls and wildlife. Guest can also visit the Karura Education Center and find out more about the forest conservation project.
