5 Green Key Eco-Rating Program
The Green Key Self-Assessment consists of approximately 150 questions related to various areas of sustainable hotel operations. Each question has been assigned a specific point value based on the environmental and social impacts a particular action has and its associated impact on guests, employees, management, and the local community.

Gold Medal Winners at the Annual Hot Competition in Vancouver
The British Columbia Chefs’ Association holed an annual Hot Competition in Vancouver. In 2010 the Fairmont Pacific Rim was awarded Amir Bahmani Gold Medal, Apprentice Category as well as Brooke Winters, Andrew McIvor and Cheryl Wuschke received Gold Medal, Team Category

Enroute Magazine’s first Hotel Design Awards issue was released today and the Chairman’s Suite has won the #1 spot in the category of Best Suite (Hotel over 150 rooms). Enroute Magazine is Air Canada’s in-flight and Maple Leaf Lounge magazine, tailored to the interests of an affluent, highly educated, well traveled audience who fly for business and pleasure. The publication reaches a monthly readership of 135,000 and receives 2,300 unique online visitors per month.

Sunday Times Travel Magazine has named Fairmont Pacific Rim as one of the top 100 Best Hotels in the World . The publication is a glossy UK based lifestyle magazine that features all things travel including travel industry news, what to do and where to stay. The publication reaches a monthly readership of 65,950.

Georgia Strait has named Fairmont Pacific Rim as the Best Hotel in Vancouver in the 16th annual Best of Vancouver Awards. These awards are voted on by Lower Mainland residents (10,000 online submissions) and truly shows that we not only are favoured by visitors, but our very own Vancouver residents!
Sunset Magazine has named Fairmont Pacific Rim one of the top Best Hotels in the West. The editors of Sunset “scouted snooped, and dozed in hundreds of hotels over the past year to find the 25 best for weekend getaway hotels” and scored Fairmont Pacific Rim at an astounding (and second highest) 88/100. We are also listed in the “best of” categories including Best for Food & Drink and Best for Pool. Editor comments include “Fairmont’s attention to details is in a class of its own, even for a luxury hotel. Even with an ideal downtown location, you’ll find yourself aching for your room.” The publication has a monthly readership of 1,259,750.
