Prince’s Island Park
Named after Peter Anthony Prince, the founder of the Eau Claire Lumber Mill, Prince’s Island was built on land donated in 1947 to the city by the Prince family.  Linked by three bridges, and only a 15-minute walk from The Fairmont Palliser, guests can enjoy the serenity of a park within downtown Calgary.  A pathway and trail system offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy a casual stroll alongside the Bow River.  Throughout the summer season, Prince’s Island Park is home to many festivals such as the Calgary Folk Music Festival, Shakespeare in the Park, Carifest, Afrikadey and Barbecue on the Bow.
