Great location, service, facilities

Enjoyed our family vacation, first time visit Everything amazing. Great service, special mention to Soukaina for excellent service upon our check in. And the staff at Lounge, special mention to Allen (I think his name is, working on 3 Apr at happy hour) for excellent service and helping to arrange our breakfast for early departure. Very pleasant stay. Thank you to all.

Nice getaway

We love the hotel, the ambiance is great, our daughter spent an entire day in the ocean.

Not too family friendly location but good hotel

The hotel was quite busy and packed with tourists so it was difficult to find sun beds. The other issue is that tourists with no children were using the sun beds at the children pool due to its proximity to the entrance and so families with children find it hard to find any sun beds to use. The beach is not great and the area is not suitable for families as it’s all loud and a party place. No nearby restaurants or coffee shops for families to enjoy. It’s all lounges and clubs. Buffet was not 5 stars. It was ok food.

Great Stay, Great Food, Need new towels.

We had a great stay at the Fairmont for 10 nights in April. The rooms were large, with plenty of space for a family of 2+2. Food in the hotel was excellent, as we have come to expect in Dubai with Little Miss India being the pick of the bunch. The Half Board package with drinks was good for food, but could have been better had we been able to have a larger variety of drinks; Only limited beers and Wine were available and only with lunch or dinner, not at any other time, the same went for the soft drinks, which although there were more options, we expected to be able to have them throughout the day. Overall the hotel was clean, tidy and the customer facing staff were excellent throughout our stay. The only area I can really fault is the housekeeping, who were a little below the expected level for 5* hotel. For example, I had to request towels on about 5-6 occasions, as not enough were given, and on one day, the cleaners left absolutely none in the room. Furthermore, on the towels, none of them, across ten nights and almost 40 towels were soft, they were all a bit hard and required changing across the hotel - (Beach towels / Pool were fine).

Disappointed

We stayed for 8nights. One of our rooms wasn't ready then we had a nice 25mins the hallway waiting for someone to bring our room key. I complained and in fairness offered an extra 1 day HB (Meal). The issue here was we couldnt use for snacks and the main buffet during the day was closed. The only option was the Seagrill and we didnt want to use that 8days straight as the menu was limited.

Great location and amenities

Warm welcome at Check in and complimentary upgrade which was much appreciated. Great location with fantastic restaurants, close to West Beach/Nakheel Mall and fantastic facilities for children. Our experience would have been better if the pool side service was improved. Bed reservation, unclean toilets and lack of pool service was a disappointment.
