TORONTO, November 20, 2006 - Fairmont Hotels & Resorts now offers travelers easy access to adidas training gear through Fairmont Fit. The newest guest benefit for loyalty club members will deliver workout apparel, footwear and accessories direct to guestrooms for use in room, in the gym or to enjoy in the great outdoors.
Whether guests have forgotten equipment, prefer a lean carry-on or just want a private workout, staying fit at Fairmont is just a phone call away. Guests can order adidas shorts, t-shirts and athletic shoes as well as yoga mats and other fitness equipment, all delivered to room, for use during their stay. Travelers can use complimentary items or choose to purchase the fitness gear through the hotel or resort's guest services desk. The Fairmont Fit service is available through Fairmont President's Club, the company's complimentary guest recognition program.
Jeff Senior, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts states, "Maintaining a fitness routine while traveling is tough, but often key to making sure healthy habits aren't completely jettisoned by business timetables." He continued, "Our new service allows guests to work out, even if they forget their gear - they can jog on the Santa Monica Pier, take a walk along the Thames, enjoy workouts in the health club or simply follow an in-room fitness routine."
Fitness enthusiasts simply call Royal Service to request their fitness items, which are then delivered directly to their guest room. Guests can utilize the workout gear until they check out, or call to replenish apparel at any time during their stay. Travelers can hit the road (or mat) with Fairmont Fit starting January 2007 with pilot programs at The Fairmont Washington, DC, The Fairmont Waterfront, Vancouver and The Fairmont Winnipeg. A launch to all Fairmont hotels and resorts in the United States and Canada is slated for the end of March 2007.
