Transportation

From San Francisco International Airport (SFO):

  • Take Highway 101 North into the city. 101 North can be accessed from Highway 280 North
  • Stay in the left lane and follow the signs for Highway 101 North, Golden Gate Bridge
  • Take the 9th Street, Civic Center exit. Make a half left onto 9th Street
  • Go five blocks to Market Street
  • When you cross over Market Street, 9th Street becomes Larkin Street
  • Go 14 blocks on Larkin Street and turn right onto California Street
  • Go five blocks on California Street and turn left onto Mason Street


BART

(subway or Bay Area Rapid Transit)

BART is an underground and above ground public transportation. The nearest station is located seven blocks from The Fairmont San Francisco, just beside the Union Square. For more information, please call (415) 788-BART.

Caltrain

This train service provides commuter rail service to/from San Jose. The train station is located on the corner of 4th and King Streets, about a 20 minute drive from the hotel.

Cable Car

The historic cable cars operate seven days a week. This is a great way to get around the city.
