Afternoon Tea has been a tradition for San Franciscans and the guests of our hotel since the opening of the Fairmont San Francisco in 1907. During its tenure, Afternoon Tea Service has been offered at numerous venues throughout the hotel. In 2000, the Laurel Court Restaurant and Bar was returned to its original grandeur as the centerpiece of our beautiful lobby and we are proud to offer traditional Afternoon Tea Service in the same style it was served in the Laurel Court 100 years ago. It is our pleasure to serve you as we continue this grand tradition of impeccable service and delectable treats!

Jasmine Butterfly
A green tea with surprising body and a captivating floral taste that is not often found in any other natural tea. On the nose the dry tea has a floral bouquet which literally causes your senses to come alive with pleasant thoughts!

Kyoto Cherry Rose
Created to honor this wonderful time of year, this fragrant tea boasts sweet cherry and morning rose flavor that meander through premium green tea.

Margaret’s Hope Darjeeling
A 2nd flush tea with light body and a round cup. Delightful fresh character with a delicious muscatel finish. This is Darjeeling’s most famous tea estate. Margaret’s Hope was once owned by an Englishman who in the 1930’s traveled there with his young daughter.

The Fairmont Blend
This blend of seasonal tea was specially created for Afternoon Tea at The Fairmont. The blend includes Assam, Kenyan, Chinese, South Indian, and Ceylon tea components giving a burgundy depth with a hint of oak.

Fairmont Earl Grey
A very aromatic bergamot Earl Grey that is in harmony with the high grown Ceylon tea. The Prime Minister of England
(1830-1834), Earl Grey, made this tea fashionable.

Fairmont Breakfast
A perfect breakfast tea with burgundy depth and malt highlights. Bold and robust with a bright golden cup. Assam teas are full bodied and the mainstays of breakfast blends.

Willow Stream Spa Blend*
This unique tea is grown on a small estate in Zimbabwe called Clearwater. It is the only tea that is decaffeinated at the estate when the tea is in its green leaf stage, resulting in a superior tea that retains a natural and true tea taste.

Egyptian Chamomile*
Delightfully aromatic with an expressive and refreshing apple-like character. Often called ‘nightly night’ tea, its essential oils produce a soothing aroma and promote restfulness.

Cascade Peppermint*
A cool, pungent and lively taste. The pure moist air of the Cascade
Mountains in the northwestern United States gives this peppermint some of the most concentrated flavors of any member of the mint family.
