Spa Treatment Descriptions
Massages
- Chair Massage: A 10-30 minute therapeutic massage done fully clothed, seated upright in a specially-designed chair that allows the massage therapist to focus on the areas most susceptible to repetitive strain injuries: neck, shoulders, arms and wrists. In addition to easing pain and discomfort, therapeutic massage also energizes, revitalizes, lifts morale and relaxes the mind.
- Deep Tissue/Connective Tissue Massage: The focus of this treatment is the release of tension in the core muscles of the trunk and limbs. A variety of slow, deep strokes are used to unlock tightness in the deep layers of muscle, tendons and fascia. Oil or massage cream is used with this technique.
- Shiatsu: Most widely-known form of acupressure. Although similar in nature to acupressure, the application of Shiatsu is more vigorous and rhythmic. Shiatsu incorporates the use of elbows, fingers, thumbs, palms and fists to encourage the release of tension from the body. Pressure is medium to deep.
- Sports Massage: Designed for physically active bodies. Its focus is on mobility of the joints and flexibility of the muscles. Sports Massage is area specific, often focusing on a specific need. Oil or creme is used with this technique.
- Swedish Massage: An oil or creme based massage that focuses on relaxing the superficial layers of the muscles. It promotes general relaxation, improves circulation and relieves superficial tension.
Skin Care
- Customized Facial: Brightens, tones, purifies, and assists in correcting skin imbalances. This comprehensive facial includes customized aromatherapy, skin refining and detoxifying treatment enhanced with specific lymphatic drainage and pressure point massage for rejuvenating the skin. 30 minutes.

This total body treatment combines a Customized Herbal Facial with reflexology and full body pressure point therapy. Includes a heated hand and foot treatment and a stress relieving hair and scalp treatment. 90 minutes.
- Smoothing Body Polish: Smoothes, purifies and hydrates skin.
