Wonderful!
Our room was well positioned and had great views over the harbour. It is a beautiful historic hotel with loads of charm.
I was not sure if my room would have two queen beds or one king. I was aware of this possibilty from their website. I emailed staff and requested a king bed and they responded the same day and joyfully confirmed my request for a king bed was approved. I could keep going on how the staff, rooms and hotel were top-notch. Our stay was wonderful and delightful, and had such beautiful views of the city.
This is not a luxury hotel. It is an expensive stay for a very mediocre room and a dated environment. The decor was quite tacky. They do not provide any luxury amenities; no robes in the room, no slippers, nothing. The staff was unfortunately not very helpful. It's absurd that you have to join some loyalty program to use wifi in the hotel.
Our first time there and loved everything about it. Great service and hotel.

The service was wonderful but the food was terrible at the restaurant.
Beautiful hotel in a great location. Room was clean & comfortable and staff were friendly & helpful. My only issue was the bar closing early, we were on a business trip with some important customers, we came back to the hotel after dinner for a drink in the bar only to find it was closed at 10pm and we couldn't get a drink. Not what I would expect in a high end hotel

Wobbly toilet, wobbly lamps with mismatched lightbulbs, flat pillows, dusty room, water spots on the glasses. But the building is charming.
I enjoyed the history which is prominently displayed, as well as the service. However, the hotel feels tired and is in need of an update.
