For an authentically local evening experience, a cable car ride to North Beach is highly recommended. Riding the cable car line accessible right outside the front of the hotel (The Powell and Hyde and Powell and Mason Cable Car Lines are both accessible from the rear entrance of the hotel), one can head to the famed Italian district to experience some of the city’s most appealing restaurants, cafes and people watching.
