What to do while visiting Santa Monica?
Well, if you have a few hours of time on your hands on a typical sunny Southern California day, you will discover a bevy of things to do right in our own backyard. Just head out from the front gate of the hotel and cross the street to Palisades Park, an ideal place for a lovely walk along the cliffs above the ocean, and also the best place to watch the sunrise or sunset. Continue walking downhill to the Santa Monica Pier with its historic Carousel built in 1922. Experience a thrilling ride on Pacific Park's roller coaster and nine-story, solar-powered Ferris wheel. Right below the pier is the Santa Monica Aquarium, which is a fun place for the entire family to go to!  It is an interactive aquarium where parents and kids, get to touch and feed the friendly sea creatures. Next, get some sand between your toes on Jones Beach (named after the founder of our hotel, Senator John P. Jones). Finally, finish up with some retail therapy on Ocean Front Walk as you head up to Third Street Promenade, the outdoor shopping center with street performers and a variety of restaurants to choose from.
