Cosanti
This Arizona historic site blends desert landscaping with earth formed concrete architectural structures. The striking array of bronze and ceramic wind-bells suspended amidst courtyards, terraces, and garden paths is the work of Paolo Soleri and his team of artisans. Located in the heart of Paradise Valley, visitors are encouraged to tour early in the day to watch the handcrafting of Soleri Wind-bells (crafting does not occur on the weekends). Please see Concierge for a detailed brochure, map and driving directions.

Desert Botanical Garden
Guests wondering about all those odd prickly plants they see in the desert landscape will enjoy the Desert Botanical Garden. Visitors can learn about 20,000 different types of desert plants gathered here from around the world. The ethnobotany displays on the plants and people of the Sonoran Desert Trail, for example, detail how the native peoples of this area turned the local flora into everything from food to shoes. The Garden offers many ways to enjoy its scenery with specialized tours, demonstrations, concerts, family activities, seasonal exhibits, and an outdoor café and plant shop. A map of the trail is available as well. Please see Concierge for a brochure, map and driving directions.

Downtown Scottsdale
Enjoy the many districts of Downtown Scottsdale. The 5th Avenue Shops & Boutiques combine the ambience of old Scottsdale with contemporary art, unique shops, Native American galleries and upscale jewelers. The Main Street Arts & Antiques District is home to one of the largest concentrations of galleries of any street in the country. Marshall Way Arts District is a vibrant contemporary art scene featuring fine art and craft galleries, along with world-renowned jewelry stores. Set in a beautiful neighborhood-like setting, Marshall Way is also home to the country’s original “Art Walk” each Thursday evening. Old Town Scottsdale, the Historical Downtown District, allows visitors to experience a taste of the Old West. A stroll through Old Town takes tourists to the original Scottsdale, the heart of the “West’s Most Western Town,” which began more than 100 years ago. Amidst designated historic buildings, guests will find a host of treasures, including western wear, books, galleries, home décor, Southwest jewelry, and a variety of restaurants.
Driving directions, maps and recommendations on dining/tours are available at the Concierge.
